Masjid Abubakr, located in the Bhairoganj area of Seoni, stands as a symbol of faith, simplicity, and community devotion. Named after Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (R.A.), the first Caliph of Islam, the mosque reflects his exemplary qualities of humility, justice, and steadfast belief. The mosque was established several decades ago by the local Muslim community of Sindhi Colony, who sought to create a dedicated space for daily prayers and religious learning. Over time, it has grown into a central hub of spiritual and communal life in the area. The mosque’s architecture is modest yet elegant, with a clean white façade, green domes, and a tall minaret that marks the call to prayer across the neighborhood. Inside, the prayer hall is spacious and well-ventilated, providing comfort to worshippers during both summer and winter months. Apart from serving as a place for the five daily salah and Friday congregations, the mosque also hosts Quran classes, Islamic lectures, and charity drives for underprivileged families. The management committee ensures regular maintenance, preserving both its physical beauty and spiritual atmosphere. Today, Masjid Abubakr continues to uphold its role as a cornerstone of unity and guidance for Seoni’s Muslim community.
