Azam and Muazzam Khan's Tomb, also known as Azam Khan and Muazzam Khan's Roza, is a significant medieval brick tomb located in Vasna, Ahmedabad, India. This historical monument was built in 1457 to honor the graves of two Persian brothers, Azam and Muazzam Khan, who were prominent figures during the Gujarat Sultanate era. The brothers were renowned not only as skilled archers but also as architects who played a crucial role in the design and construction of notable structures, including the famous Sarkhej Roza, a well-known architectural masterpiece in Gujarat. The tomb itself is constructed with solid bricks, similar in design to Dariya Khan's Tomb, reflecting the architectural style of the period. Unfortunately, the garden and the mosque that once surrounded the tomb no longer exist, leaving behind only the brick structure as a testament to the architectural achievements of the era. This site serves as a reminder of the contributions of Azam and Muazzam Khan to the development of Gujarat?s architectural heritage, even though much of the surrounding landscape has since disappeared.
