It is one of Raipur’s notable mosques, recognised in local reports for being several decades old. According to local heritage coverage, the mosque is about 90 years old, which places its origin around the early-to-mid 20th century. The design of the mosque is quite distinctive: it reportedly has a big central dome flanked by minarets, giving it a grand appearance. Over time, the mosque has become a central place of worship for the Muslim community in Moudhapara and nearby neighbourhoods, hosting daily prayers, Friday congregations, Qur’an classes, and community events during Ramadan and Eid.
