The Qadri Masjid forms an integral part of the Dargah-e-Alia Qadria, a prominent Sufi shrine and khanqah in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, dedicated to the Qadri spiritual lineage tracing back to the 12th-century founder Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. In 1235 Hijri (corresponding to 1820 CE), Shah Ainul Haq Maulana Abdul Majeed Qadri Budauni, a revered scholar and saint of the Qadri order, laid the foundation of this khanqah to propagate Qadri and Barkaati teachings.
