Madarsa Islahul Muslemeen is one of the oldest and most renowned Islamic educational institutions in Raipur, founded in 1924 byAllama Hamid Ali Farooqui (also known as “Mohsine Millat”), who was a disciple of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi. The madarsa was established to provide proper Islamic education, produce qualified Imams, Qaris, and Hafiz — fulfilling the religious and spiritual needs of Muslims across Chhattisgarh and neighboring regions. Over decades, it has contributed significantly to Islamic learning, supplying educated scholars to mosques and madrasas across the state. Its curriculum focuses on Quran memorization, Hadith-Sunna, jurisprudence and related religious disciplines, reflecting its deep roots in traditional Sunni-Hanafi and Barelvi thought.
