Noor Mohammad Bhat House is a traditional residential building located in Budshah Mohalla, Batapora, forming part of the historic old riverfront town of Sopore on the right bank of the River Jhelum. The house was originally constructed in the mid-20th century by Ghulam Mohammad Balti, who was employed in the revenue department as an Arzinawees. The property is presently owned by Haji Noor Mohammad Bhat, a labourer by profession. Architecturally, the building reflects vernacular Kashmiri residential architecture and consists of three floors organized around a central entrance and corridor. The ground and first floors contain a hall and rooms arranged symmetrically, while the second floor has a large hall. A prominent wooden dub projects from the centre of the second floor, supported on carved wooden brackets, and arched window openings are visible on the first floor. The structure uses traditional materials such as stone, kiln-baked and sun-dried bricks, mud mortar, and timber, with exposed wooden joists, sathrun mud flooring, and a pitched CGI sheet roof, though the ground floor has been recently cement plastered.
