Historical Significance Hazrat Baba Qasim Shah Sulemani (R.A.) hailed from Peshawar and came to India during the Mughal era. Known for his piety and miraculous powers, he was falsely imprisoned by Emperor Jahangir, who was skeptical of saints and mystics. Despite being confined within the Chunar Fort, Baba Qasim Sulemani was seen offering prayers by the Ganges, in nearby forests, and on hillsides, astounding witnesses with his miracles. Upon witnessing these phenomena himself, Jahangir sought forgiveness, released him with great respect, and became a believer. Since 1015 A.H. (1606 A.D.), Hazrat Baba Qasim Sulemani rests in peace at this dargah, which remains a site of spiritual inspiration and solace for all visitors.
