Dargah Shah Asrar-u-Din Bagdadi (R.A.) is an important Sufi shrine located in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. Hazrat Shah Asrar-ud-Din Baghdadi was a highly revered Sufi saint, belonging to a distinguished spiritual lineage traced back to Baghdad, Iraq, and linked to Hazrat Abdul Qadir Gilani (R.A.), due to which the family came to be known as Baghdadi. He was the son of Hazrat Shah Farid-ud-Din Baghdadi, himself a respected Sufi master. Despite living a very short life of around eighteen years, Hazrat Shah Asrar-ud-Din left a deep spiritual impact through his devotion, miracles, and teachings focused on Tawhid (Oneness of Allah) and Islamic ethics. His shrine, also known as Darbar-e-Asrariya or Astan-e-Payeen, became a center of spiritual attraction and communal harmony. The Urs of the saint, observed annually on the 25th of Kartik, draws devotees from different faiths who gather for prayers, Quran recitations, and community meals, reflecting the inclusive spirit of Sufism.
