The Tomb of Hazrat Salim Chishti is one of the most iconic Sufi shrines in India, located in Dadupura, Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh – 283110. It enshrines the burial place of Hazrat Salim Chishti (1478–1572), a celebrated Sufi saint of the Chishti order whose spiritual presence drew people from all walks of life. The mausoleum was constructed between 1580 and 1581 by the Mughal Emperor Akbar as a tribute to the saint, who had blessed him with a son. The tomb is built of gleaming white marble and is enclosed by finely carved lattice screens, creating an atmosphere of serenity and devotion. It stands within the courtyard of the Jama Masjid complex in Fatehpur Sikri, an architectural ensemble that reflects the grandeur of the Mughal era and is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
