As a "Markaz" (centre), it serves a dual purpose: it is both a house of worship for daily and Friday congregational prayers and a regional headquarters for the organisation’s social and missionary activities. Historical & Religious Significance Ideological Foundation: The mosque is part of the TNTJ network, an organisation founded on May 16, 2004. The Markaz in Tenkasi was established shortly thereafter to promote the "Thowheed" (monotheism) movement, which emphasises following the Quran and the Sunnah in their purest forms, free from later cultural or ritualistic additions. Missionary Hub: Beyond prayer, the Markaz is a hub for Dawah (preaching). It hosts regular religious classes, seminars, and public meetings aimed at educating the community on Islamic jurisprudence and ethics. Establishment: While the TNTJ organisation was founded in 2004, this specific Markaz became a fully operational spiritual and social centre in 2008, following the consolidation of the local chapter's activities in Tenkasi.
