Astana-E-Quadeeri - Halkatta Shareef is the shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Syed Mohammad Badshah Qadri-ul-Chishti Yamani Raichuri Rahmatullah'alaih, a revered Sufi saint of the Chishti order in India. Born in 1903 on the auspicious day of Bakrid, during the 10th day of Dhul Hijja on a Friday, Badshah Qadri hailed from a Sayyid family with roots in Yemen. His lineage traces back to Hasan ibn Ali, the first grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, making him a descendant of noble heritage. From an early age, Badesha Qadri showed a deep spiritual inclination and became a disciple of his paternal uncle, Shah Nabi Mohiuddeen Qadri, a prominent Chishti elder. Under his uncle's guidance, Badshah Qadri began his journey of spiritual learning and devotion. As he grew in wisdom and spiritual stature, Badesha Qadri furthered his education and training under the guidance of Hazrat Shaikh Karimullah Shah Qadri, another respected figure in the Qadiriyyah and Chishti traditions. Upon Hazrat Shaikh Karimullah?s death, the mantle of leadership within these traditions was passed on to Badesha Qadri, affirming his role as a spiritual guide and a prominent leader in the Sufi community. His teachings emphasized universal brotherhood, peace, and devotion to humanity, which made a profound impact on the people around him. Badshah Qadri was deeply committed to the welfare of society and spreading the message of love and peace across communities. He devoted his life to nurturing the spirit of compassion, helping the underprivileged, and guiding his followers on the path of spiritual enlightenment. After his passing in 1978, his legacy was carried forward by his son, Hazrat Syed Ibrahim Shah Qadri, who continues to serve as a spiritual leader at the shrine. Badesha Qadri's tomb is located in Halkatta Shareef, a serene and sacred place situated near Wadi in the Gulbarga district of Karnataka.
