Shahdara Sharief is a renowned 19th-century Muslim shrine located in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, dedicated to the revered Sufi saint Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah. Situated on a hillock in the Pir Panjal range at Thanna Mandi, the shrine was constructed during the rule of Maharaja Gulab Singh. Popularly known as “SeinDara,” Shahdara Sharief holds immense spiritual significance and attracts thousands of devotees from different faiths who visit the shrine daily to seek peace and blessings. The site is also known for its tradition of langar (free community meals) and becomes especially vibrant during the annual Urs festival, held in April. Surrounded by scenic mountains, the shrine reflects the rich Sufi heritage and communal harmony of the region.
