Historical and Spiritual Significance Gilaf-e-Kaaba: The Gilaf-e-Kaaba (the covering of the Holy Kaaba) at Sabzposh Masjid is 176 years old, brought from Egypt. This significant relic was brought back by Mir Abdullah in 1840 during his pilgrimage to Hajj. Qadam-e-Rasool (Footprints of Prophet Muhammad): Qadam-e-Rasool, the footprints of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), made on stones brought from Madina, are preserved here. These relics are highly revered, and their presence at the Sabzposh Masjid adds to the mosque's spiritual aura. Stone from the Tomb of Gaus-e-Pak: A sacred stone from the shrine of Gaus-e-Pak (Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani) in Baghdad is also kept at the mosque, bringing further spiritual value to the site. These sacred objects are displayed for ziyarat during significant religious events like Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha, attracting numerous devotees who visit to pay homage. Historical Context Founder: The Sabzposh Masjid is historically tied to the legacy of Mir Shah Qayamuddin, who built a small mausoleum and mosque in the region during the reign of Shah Jahan. He is a descendant of Mir Abdullah and is recognized as the founder of the Sabzposh House. Tomb of Mir Syed Qayamuddin Shah: The tomb of Mir Syed Qayamuddin Shah, located within the masjid complex, serves as a key historical site. He lived to over 100 years and passed away on the 8th of Safar, 1128 Hijri. Tomb of Mir Syed Ghulam Rasool: The mausoleum of Mir Syed Ghulam Rasool, his grandson, is situated nearby. Historical records suggest that sacred relics, including a Quran Sharif and relics of Hazrat Ali, are preserved in the dome of his tomb.
